Visiting my great-grandparents house!

This past Monday, Gabriella got to go with her mommy and daddy to Kansas City, KS to visit her great-grandparents! It was such a highlight for my parents to be able to have their great grandbaby all to themselves in their home. She was only a week old when they last saw her. They had a great time together! My husband and I were talking and can't believe that our daughter is on her own with her family visiting my parents when we use to do that as a family when our children were small.
Last night in my parents church Jared had the opportunity to present his missions presentation. Mom and Dad were so proud of them and of course proud to show off their great grandbaby! :)

Never a dull moment!

As if being a pastor's wife isn't enough excitement in my life my children have taken it upon themselves to make sure it is exciting!
Andres has completed a perfect record with the Ortiz children for breaking a bone and being in a cast!
Elyssa broke her ankle playing volleyball in high school, Danny broke his leg jumping over a sprinkler and slid on the slippery grass, David broke his leg playing basketball and Andres broke his leg rollarskating at a school activity.  What a way to start his first week of his senior year in high school.  Yesterday he got his cast off and boy is he happy!!!
Our kids have given us so many memories of their years at home.  The broken bones, stitches, the scrape on the knee, the staples on the head!  And yes that really happened!  Guess who!  Andres! :)
Whew!  I'm glad I got that all over with!  But then......there are the grandkids!

FIESTA!

Once a year I have an activity for the little girls in our church ages 4-11.  This is so I can spend time with them and get to know them.  I pick a theme and I have a teaching time, games, prizes, crafts, food and lots of fun!  They are also encouraged to dress according to the theme.
Last Saturday afternoon was our activity.  The theme this year was FIESTA!  There were 17 girls in attendance and we had sooooo much fun!  Every girl went home with a small pinata, bag of candy & prizes and a full tummy!  Those little girls can eat!  LOL!
This is a good way for me to get to know the younger girls in our church so when they become teenagers I already have a way to their hearts.
I hope you enjoy the pictures!  They really did a great job in dressing up!
