Happy 13th Anniversary IBF!

On September 16th we celebrated 13 years of our church's existence.  We had a great day!  We always push to have extra visitors that day but in the evening is our celebration.
At this time of the year we give gifts to stock up the church with supplies such as building cleaning supplies, office supplies like stamps, envelopes, 3x5 cards, copy paper, items to maintain our vans like oil, fresheners, vinyl cleaner and so on.  It is a great help to the church to keep things going and maintained.
Of course at the end of the day we close our celebration with a meal.  This year we had different types of enchiladas, rice, beans, hot sauce and an anniversary cake.
We love our church and look forward to many more years in the future serving the Lord here!

Praise The Lord for answered prayer!!!

With all the excitement, I just now realized I need to blog this great news!!!!!

Exactly 3 weeks ago today, Karisa Daniel was hospitalized with pneumonia.  But in this 3 week period she was also diagnosed with leukemia and was under going chemo treatments every 12 hours.  Yesterday they ran some tests to see how her progression has been and today they were given the results!
KARISA IS CANCER FREE!!!!!!  Praise the Lord!  He has answered our prayers!  Needless to say our wonderful church is so excited!  We have been praying so earnestly for God to heal her as well as many of you!  On behalf of the Daniel Family, our church, my husband and I....Thank you!  Thank you for your prayers, your emails, and all the love and support towards this sweet family!
She will have to stay in the hospital until she can get her strength up again and feel somewhat better.  Pray that she will have a quick recovery.  Her family misses her and needs her home!  Karisa needs home!

"Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."

It's a Tea Party!

I had my yearly girls activity on Saturday, September 15th.  This year the theme was "It's a Tea Party!"  All the girls were able to bring one guest, their favorite doll!  The room was decorated with hanging lanterns, bright colored tableclothes with candles, flowers, confetti and colorsheets and crayons for the girls to color while waiting for everyone to arrive.  This year we had 17 girls in attendance.  This is only for girls 4-11 years old.  We had a great time!
My activity consisted of:
Our meal: finger sandwiches, chips/cheetos, crackers/cheese, ham/cheese roll ups and fruit kabobs.
     Games & Prizes
Craft: We made fans on a stick in the shape of a tea pot and they decorated it.
Teaching:  I gave a 15 minute talk on how the girls should always act like a lady.  No matter how young they are they need to know how to sit, dress, talk, act and be respectful to their authority like little ladies.  I involved them a lot in the teaching by asking questions and asking for examples.  They give me more their attention when I do that then just being the only one talking.  They listened and took part very well!
Dessert:  Cupcakes with strawberries on top.
Give a ways:  A small canvas bag full of fun things.  Candy, pencils, play jewlery, stickers, suckers in the shape of a tea pot and a thank you note from me.  Plus they got to take home their cups which were plastic tea cups with a straw.  (Forgot to get a picture of the canvas bags.)  :(

This is my time to get to spend with the girls and have a good time!  Normally we just have time for a quick hello because of Sundays and Wednesdays being so busy so this creates a time where we can relax and have a fun time together.
