Happy 10th Anniversary!

My brother Jesse Dominguez, III is the pastor of Desert View Baptist Church in Marana, AZ.  Ten years ago he and his wife Julie and at the time 2 children, Meagan and Nathan moved from California where my brother was on staff at Montecito Baptist Church under Pastor Ezequiel Salazar.  He moved to Arizona to start this church from nothing!  I am so proud of my brother and his family!  They have been so consistent and have perservered when so many would have quit.  Alot has happened in these past 10 years that have not only made them strong but godly people that truely love the Lord!
Their guest preacher was Pastor Darrell Cox from North Carolina and our parents Pastor & Mrs. Jesse Dominguez also were there.  Dad lead the singing and also sang a special and the mayor of Marana, AZ went and gave words of congratulations.  They had 105 in attendance with 8 salvations and 4 baptisms.

Congratulations Jesse, Julie and kids!  I love you all very much and I'm so proud of you!!!!  You have done a great job!  Thank you for being an example to me!  I think very highly of you all!

CONGRATULATIONS ONCE AGAIN ON A JOB WELL DONE!  MAY THE LORD BLESS YOUR FAMILY AND YOUR MINISTRY!
I LOVE YOU BROTHER! :)

Harvest of Souls!

Last Sunday our church began its Fall Campaign, "Harvest of Souls".  Every fall campaign the emphasis is on soul winning.  We have competition every week on who can win the most souls and the winner  receives a $25.00 gift card for either Pizza Hut, Starbucks, K & G Clothing Store or Bath & Body Works.  We have different places to choose from each year.  Last week Mrs. Karisa Daniel won 23 souls to the Lord in one week and chose the Starbucks gift card! :)
Dr. & Mrs. Evans were with us from Crown Point, IN.  Dr. Evans is President Emeritus of Hyles-Anderson College.  (He was president of HAC when my husband and I were in college.)  He did a great job preaching in the morning and evening services and of course I had a great time spending time with Mrs. Evans talking and laughing!  They both are such a blessing to my husband and I!
Also with us on Sunday was the Sloan Family, missionaries to Mexico.  Bro. Tom Sloan played the guitar as the children sang.  They did a great job!
The Lord blessed our first week of the campaign with salvations and baptisms and an attendance of 320.

Visiting my great-grandparents house!

This past Monday, Gabriella got to go with her mommy and daddy to Kansas City, KS to visit her great-grandparents! It was such a highlight for my parents to be able to have their great grandbaby all to themselves in their home. She was only a week old when they last saw her. They had a great time together! My husband and I were talking and can't believe that our daughter is on her own with her family visiting my parents when we use to do that as a family when our children were small.
Last night in my parents church Jared had the opportunity to present his missions presentation. Mom and Dad were so proud of them and of course proud to show off their great grandbaby! :)

Never a dull moment!

As if being a pastor's wife isn't enough excitement in my life my children have taken it upon themselves to make sure it is exciting!
Andres has completed a perfect record with the Ortiz children for breaking a bone and being in a cast!
Elyssa broke her ankle playing volleyball in high school, Danny broke his leg jumping over a sprinkler and slid on the slippery grass, David broke his leg playing basketball and Andres broke his leg rollarskating at a school activity.  What a way to start his first week of his senior year in high school.  Yesterday he got his cast off and boy is he happy!!!
Our kids have given us so many memories of their years at home.  The broken bones, stitches, the scrape on the knee, the staples on the head!  And yes that really happened!  Guess who!  Andres! :)
Whew!  I'm glad I got that all over with!  But then......there are the grandkids!

FIESTA!

Once a year I have an activity for the little girls in our church ages 4-11.  This is so I can spend time with them and get to know them.  I pick a theme and I have a teaching time, games, prizes, crafts, food and lots of fun!  They are also encouraged to dress according to the theme.
Last Saturday afternoon was our activity.  The theme this year was FIESTA!  There were 17 girls in attendance and we had sooooo much fun!  Every girl went home with a small pinata, bag of candy & prizes and a full tummy!  Those little girls can eat!  LOL!
This is a good way for me to get to know the younger girls in our church so when they become teenagers I already have a way to their hearts.
I hope you enjoy the pictures!  They really did a great job in dressing up!
