The week after our fall campaign ended, we had our yearly Old Fashion Service. Encase you are not familiar with this, we take a Sunday evening service and go back in time. Everyone is encouraged to dress old fashion which there is a $50.00 cash prize for the best dressed. We have decorations up like quilts, oil lamps, pumpkins, hay, mums, old photos and rocking chairs on the platform. We have a music CD playing hymns from a banjo. We picked up a hallelujah offering where the ushers yell out Amen, Glory to God and Hallelujah depending on how much was placed in the offering plate. Of course there was good old fashion preaching. It was alot of fun! We ended the night with a fund raiser selling chicken burritos.

CANTON
Every year I take my ladies that are in the missionary circles on an activity to a place called Canton. It is a shoppers haven! We leave the church at 8:00 a.m. and return around 6:00 p.m. They sell anything and everything you can imagine. Crafts, clothing, bags, purses, hair accessories, decorations for the home, perfume, candles, turkey legs, corny dogs, cheeseburgers, lg baked potatoes, funnel cakes, and many more things.
Not all the ladies were able to go for one reason or another but we still had a great time! It was nice to get away for the day and have some sister/sister time with some of the ladies from church.
Here are a few pictures. I have to say, I didn't get the best pictures on this trip. I was to busy shopping and having a good time. But here's an idea of how our day was. Hope you can visit someday.

A day with our grandbaby!
When we went to Mount Airy, NC my husband and I bought matching Andy Griffith t-shirts. Well, as soon as I turned into the next aisle there it was.... the same t-shirt in a baby's size. So naturally I had to buy it!
Well about a week and a half ago we went to Seagoville and picked up Gabriella and spent the day with her and of course wore our matching shirts. We had so much fun with her!

Picking her up at her house.
We took her to IHOP! Lol!
Our waitress thought Gabriella was our baby! I don't know if she was wanting a big tip for giving such a compliment or she was thinking "Abraham and Sarah". LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are in love!!!!
I'm having fun!
Uncle Andres is feeding me! :)

FALL FESTIVAL
This past Saturday our church held its yearly Fall Festival. This is a fun raiser we do, not only to have a good time but to raise money toward our building fund. This year our funds also went toward our missions account.
We had a great time! We sold hotdogs, nachos and cheese, elotes, large pickles, candy apples, carmel apples, cookies, cupcakes and the biggest hit was gorditas! We had a cake walk, tug of war, volleyball with a huge ball, 2 jumping houses, ring toss, face painting, pin the tie on the pastor and many other games. The kids could redeem their tickets for prizes if they won and if not they received candy. So they won either way! :) We had 2 clowns selling hellium balloons and much more.
This activity has a muli-purpose. We had a great time together as a church, the kids had a great time and we were able to raise money for our church.
The following are some pictures that we took. We were all so busy that we weren't able to get pictures of everything but it'll give you an idea.
