Our daughter and her family stayed through the weekend of our family conference. We love when they are able to be with us in our church. That day was an extra treat for us! What a blessing it is to be able to be in the same church and serve the Lord together with your family. We went out to lunch together after church.
"So many yummy things to eat! Too bad I don't have any teeth!"
That evening after church, we had a surprise birthday gathering for our son Andres. He turned 18 the 30 of March! We now have 4 adult children! Where did the time go? We invited the church teens and some adults came also. We had a great time especially because we had the restaruant all to ourselves.
I am very grateful and thankful that the Lord has given our son another year of life and health!

We had our Ladies Meeting on April 13th. The theme was "Spring cleaning our hearts and lives". I decorated the front walls with cleaning supplies along with the Bible on a small table. My devotion was to encourage the ladies to not only think it is important to spring clean our houses but our spiritual lives as well. What things do we have in our "closets" that no one may know about that we need to clean out. It could be bitterness, not forgiving someone, gossip or any number of things. At the end I had four prizes. A bucket of cleaning supplies and three certificates for a free years subscription to Better Homes & Gardens magazine. We then broke up into groups and read our missionary letters, had prayer time and signed cards to send out to our missionaries.
