I'm Back! (Part VI)

The Guzman Family moves to Washington!

One of our dear families in our church moved to Washington State to start a church.  Bro. Guzman felt that God was calling him back to the area where he was saved years ago.  Bro. Guzman was a deacon in our church, a bus captain in Dallas and the teacher of our New Converts Class.  Mrs. Guzman was a substitute sunday school teacher, a worker in the nursery, on the banquet planning committee and a leader of one of the missionary circles.  We will definetly miss them but we are so happy for them and know that they will be used by God in Washington.

We love you Guzman Family!

SENIOR SUNDAY

Every year in May we recognize our seniors that are graduating that year.  This year we had four seniors.  We are thrilled to know that all four are going to be attending Bible college this fall.
Our Pastor interviewed each one and they receive a gift card from the church.

Danny preaches in our church

When we came home from Kentucky, Danny came home with us for about 3 1/2 weeks.  He hadn't been home but for only 1-3 days at a time.  A break well deserved!  :)  While home my husband asked Danny to preach on a Sunday night.  Not because he is my son but he did a tremendous job!  That was actually my first time hearing him preach.  My husband and I were so proud of him! We know that God will use him in his future.

SAN ANTONIO

The next day we took our 3 boys on a mini-vacation to San Antonio.  What a beautiful city!  If you have never visited there it is a place you should try to see.  We had so much fun!  Our boys had us laughing!  The comments to each other, the teasing and pillow fights kept us in stitches!  It was just like old times when the boys were small.  All that was missing was them jumping on the bed as soon as we got into our hotel room.  LOL!
We visited The Alamo, the Riverwalk, Hemisfair Park, Tower of the Americas, Ripley's Believe it or not and many other things.
This will be our last outing before Danny leaves.

  1. Hey, Mrs. Ortiz,
You may not remember me, but I went to church with your family for a while. This morning I was so happy to see Elyssa and Jared, and their so beautiful daughter Gabriella. They came to our church Central Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, MS. I could not believe that she has grown up! What a beautiful, amazing person she is! And her little girl is tooooooo sweet! I got to see pictures of your family, and she told me about your blog! It was so nice to see her and see how God has blessed your family and is using them. May He continue to do so! What a testimony your family is!
    Love,
